Problem
Technical divers (those underwater for a job) lack the dexterity to consistently check their dive computers while managing complex equipment and tasks.

Latest SCUBA Innovation
Dive computers contain life-saving information for divers, consolidated into a wrist-mounted screen. My team pushed dive computers a step further into the future by designing a HUD Mask.

Tiered Color Warning System
Metrics transition from Blue > Yellow > Red as air and NDL decrease. If a task-loaded diver fails to notice their own air dropping, the buddy may intervene and initiate a safe ascent before an “out-of-air” emergency actually occurs.
Moodboard
Dive gear is expensive. Azure aligns with a high-end price point, balancing ruggedness with sleek visual language.
Videography
I planned, shot, and edited Azure's concept video. I connected with a diver here in Seattle, and I sent him down with a GoPro to capture footage of the cloudy PNW waters – a real depiction of low-visibility conditions technical divers encounter.
Reflections
As my senior capstone project, I learned how to manage a project from start-to-finish, evaluating timelines, product thinking, interviewing divers, and honing my videography skills to deliver a well-rounded 10-week project.
